What is the best way to get rid of these suckers, they are from a tree that is huge, 60ft high, and 56" around at the base.

Problem is, the roots are coming up from the ground into the path of the mower.

Tried digging one out, and that is a crap load of work, was looking for something easier. No, I don't have access to TnT, though, I wish I did.
The root's diameter is roughly from 4-9", some are bigger, and most are underground, with some starting to pop up above the surface more than 2".

Ideas?

have tree root issues also....they grow under the tree ring (made of paverstones) and knock them over...

I have dug around the roots and then used a chainsaw to cut them....if there is a better way, I would love to know....

Exposed roots? Sounds like an erosion problem. Buy a load of fill dirt.

We have the same issue with a Cherry tree. Called an Arborist who said if we cut or shave the exposed root it may kill the tree, he said it was about 70% it would survive.
