Getting phone calls from some collection agency on my cell

So I get these phone calls from some collection agency on my cell phone - for someone that is NOT me. In the prerecorded/automated phone call, it says to push a certain button to tell them that this is a wrong number. I've done that like five or six times. They still keep calling back - same automated number, etc.

Who can I report this to? Anyone got a link somewhere?etc?

Thanks

You could contact a government agency, like the FTC, but it will take a long time. I've gotten those calls before - best way is to call the number up and get a live person, tell them you are not the party in question and that you are on the FTC do-not-call list (you should be if you aren't). The calls stopped for me, but YMMV

(Use my description below as a template if you want)

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been receiving periodic calls from 888-276-1908 on my personal cell phone. These calls ring as a "data call" so I cannot answer on voice (I have tried). This could be due to a collection information services using automatic technology to screen their data, to weed out bad information perhaps falsely provided by debtors. Some sources of on-line information include:

An internet search on '888-276-1908' turns up a surprising number of links. Many others seem affected by this issue, from the same number. Some have attributed the call to AFNI Upsourcing, see: http://afniupsourcing.com/ .

The resolution I seek is for the FCC to:

1. Determine the nature and cause of this activity
2. Evaluate if such activity complies with existing laws and regulations
3. If not, to hold those responsible accountable to the extent the law allows
4. If so, to consider regulatory changes prohibiting the activity

Thank you for your time and attention.
