This just started to happen about 30 minutes ago. When I type ---www.facebook.com--- into Chrome, I am immediately greeted with Phishing alert:
Actual link given by Chrome: hXXp://static.ak.fbcdn.net/js_strings.php/t85298/en_US
If I type the same facebook address (not the suspected address) into Firefox 3.0.4 or IE7, I don't get a phishing alert. But if I copy-and-paste the address ---static.ak.fbcdn.net--- into Firefox, then I get a phishing alert.
If I do the same thing in IE7, I can save a file. The file is simply text, but it does seem to have some form of "account verification," which requires that you enter in credit-card information.
This sounds very much like a phishing, since facebook has no business in doing so.
The --- prevents the link from being clickable.
Warning: Suspected phishing site!
The website at ---static.ak.fbcdn.net---has been reported as a ?phishing? site. Phishing sites trick users into disclosing personal or financial information, often by pretending to represent trusted institutions, such as banks.
