getting past college blocks on kazaa dc?

My college doesn't prevent you from using Kazaa or DC but it does limit the bandwidth used for those (ie i can only get like 2-4kb/s on all my downloads total for kazaa d/ls)

any suggestions ..... socks5 proxy servers? changing incoming ports in registry ...something?
