Getting old sucks: My last dietary hurrah for awhile...diet starts Monday.

You will notice that "diet" is a four-letter word. :Q

It's time to lose weight. I am about 13 pounds over where I'd be happy...15 from where I'd LIKE to be. I need to get down to 210. A/O today, I'm currently weighing in at 223 pounds. I'm 6'1", BTW.

I start my diet on Monday. Salad. Salad. Salad. Granola bars...and more damn salad, with vitamins, juices and plain chicken thrown in for good measure. *blah*


However, this weekend (I'm starting early, so shoot me 😛) I'm pigging out for one last time.

I'm waiting on Dominios. Two medium pizzas; one with Pepperoni and Ground Beef. The other w/Canadian Bacon (or ham for you knuckleheads) and mushroom.

Oh...and an order of hot wings. 😀

No; I won't eat it ALL. 1/2 will be leftovers for tomorrow.

*sigh*
Dieting is going to suck @ss. I NEVER thought I'd have to diet. Getting old sucks @ss.
 
We have the same measurements. Mine is mostley junk in the trunk. I started the salad shooter thing today. Can't wait for that first duck, green turd.mmmmmmmmmmm🙂

Mine is in my gut. My face isn't any heavier than when I was 20 pounds lighter. It's all in the spare tire, unfortunately.

Hmmm...If I could somehow redistribute the fat to cover 100% of my body instead of being concentrated in one place, I might not have to diet.

As long as I train I am fine. As soon as I stop training then I am shafted and will have to be more careful......

Jesus, now I know why people think America is slovenly...it is!

I can barely eat three pieces before I'm stuffed.

I'm 5'9", 130 lbs., and damn proud of it.

Dieting doesn't work as well as people would think...exercising, keeping yourself active, will do much more. Combined with eating right, it's an unbeatable combination.

Two months of rabbit food for a 220lb guy to lose 13? Heck, distinction between 13 and 15 at your build?

I've never been one to monitor weight closely, usually 15lbs up or down each time I do check...every few years at best. About the same size as Michael, that's why it surprises me. I lost (guessing) about 20 in a couple months after switching from regular Coke to diet (wasn't trying to lose weight, just like the taste better. Go figure) This with no other changes, actually got rather annoyed with people telling me they'd noticed and asking if I was working out or dieting. Might find it's easier than what you're expecting.

The 2lb distinction still strikes me funny though. Doubt I could see the difference between a 110 and 112lb girl, sure as hell couldn't with a big ol boy like you. 🙂

Um...I can eat a dozen wings and a regular Dom's pizza if I'm hungry. Adn I'm starving.

This ties in w/my thread from the other night about "eating until I bust"...stuffing myself unitl sated instead of "until full."

I figure w/the diet, my mental/physical food capacity will shrink...I'm hoping.

So you are proud of being a Physical Weakling? Man I take craps bigger than you!

I'm wiry, don't get me wrong. But I've never had to prove my strength to achieve something in life. I have a beautiful girlfriend, am getting a great education, and have a job. That's about all you can ask for at my age.

I'm healthy, and that's all that should matter - not my bench max. 🙂
 
If you don't make lifestyle changes you're just going to keep doing this over and over.Why not take a nice long walk,order one pizza with veggie topping instead of two with meat?

B/C God himself made the original first pizza and it had two toppings on it: one side was a 15 pound slab of bacon, the other side a 20 pound stick of Pepperoni. 😀

I like Veggies on my pizza...with the meat toppings, of course.

You have a very valid point though...I'm just being a butt. Next week is Doomsday. 🙁

Definitely. Geekbabe hit it right on the money. I eat junk food on a daily basis; I'll be the first to admit it. But I eat in moderation. Unhealthy food is fine, as long as you eat it in small amounts and eat healthy food to counter it (healthy cheese, milk, vegetables, fruit, yogurt, etc.).
 
Good luck MichaelD . We are almost the same age and size 🙂 I am 6' 2-1/2" and had a concentration of extra cellulose around the midsection ( key word had ! ) . The first of February I decided not to go on a diet necessarily but to just eat right , kinda of like a rabbit 🙂 At that time I weighed 325 pounds , now at 247 🙂
