Getting new mobo, help please

I decided to upgrade my mobo for Oblivion because i cant get a better CPU for it. Currently i have a socket 754 AMD 3400+, 1.5 gigs of PC3200 DDR SDRAM. and a 7600 512MB. I am wanting to get a mobo that still has an AGP slot for my card but can support a better CPU. So far i have found this mobo:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16819115030

and this CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16819115030

Will this work? Anything else i need? Does the CPU come with that glue stuff to put it on?

I will be putting it together if it is workable and the most i have ever done is stick a video card or a memory stick in, any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the Anandtech forums.

Your link to the mobo is the same as the vid card. Here is a list of 775 socket, AGP mobo's at NewEgg:

Some offer dual DDR & DDR2 support. It looks like the mobo's don't support 1333 fsb but if you find one you like, you may want to do a little more research and perhaps even call the vendor to see if it will support a 1333 fsb cpu. If not, that cpu will not work.

Good Luck
