Going away to college this August, and originally I was hoping Vista would come out around that time so I could get a laptop with that, but then I realized a) never get a new OS at launch and b) its not coming out for a while.
I'm splitting the cost with my parents, so I'll probably be in the 2500-3500 price range. Not sure whats coming out in the next few months however. Should I wait for Turion-64 w/ DDR2 or get Core-Duo?
Its a college laptop, so I'd like it to be well-rounded - light, good battery life, mid-high graphics, and media center capabilities included/readily-upgradable. Any help is appreciated.
