If I were you, I'd drop down to a XP 1900+ because you will save some money and wont notice the performance difference. I would also go with a GeForce 4 Ti 4400 since the performance gain of the 4600 isn't worth the $100 in my opinion. The DVD drive looks fine. I would probably go with a Lit-On because they will perform the same and again, it's cheaper. I think if you are building a PC of that caliber that you should go with a bigger HD. You can get a 80GB for like $30 more which is actaully worth the extra price. I personally like Seagate because they are quiet and reliable. Their are faster hard drives, but you'll never be able to tell the difference in actual use, only benchmarks. I don't think they even make 1GB sticks of DDR so you're out of luck there. If they did, they would be outrageous anyways. That is a good and highly recommended power supply. For fans, a lot of people like Panaflos because they are quiet. A lot of people also like the Enermax fans because you can adjust the speed and make they quite. Many people will recommend ALPHA PAL8045 heatsinks because they cool realy well and use a 80mm fan which are much more quiet than screaming 60mm fans. I also like the new Thermalright AX-7 heatsinks for their use of 80mm fans and their clip design. Hope this helps, and good luck with your new PC.
