Not sure if this belongs in the Garage forum...it's about speakers, not the car itself.

So I decided to get new speakers for my car as a birthday present to myself.

4 x 6 Infinity Kappas for the front

and

6 x 9 Infinity Kappas for the rear deck.

What you guys think? I'm a hyyyuuuuge fan of infinity anything as far as audio goes. I already have an REF 1211A amplifier. In another car I also had 3.25" kappas in the front and absolutely loved them.

infinity kappas are great, cant really go wrong with them but make sure you block out high range sound from the 6x9's or else you'll have voices coming from behind you. do it right and it will sound great, and will probably outlast your car :)

I don't have Kappas but I have Reference all around. They sound MUCH better than stock.

Yep. I have the Perfect 6.1's in my car and they're pretty good for the price. My rear speakers are also kappa's and the sub is a Perfect 12.1 all driven by Alpine amps.

I've always been a fan of the kappas and perfects. I haven't followed car audio in a while, but if they make em like they did 5 years ago, kappas are power hungry.

They are good speakers for upgrades from stock for sure.

I am anti-rear deck personally though for the reason evident said. It throws off all imaging, and I am running just fronts without rear deck speakers for this reason. I love it.

If you keep the 6x9's, then make sure to only use them for midbass/low end stuff. Disable the high frequencies someway, because it will sound much cleaner IMHO.

I had 3 10" Perfect 10's in my last car.

Also had 6x9 kappas in the back of said car (Focal components up front) for a while, but then replaced both the front and rear speakers with a single set of 3-way components (Hertz). Totaled said car, pulled components out and put them in new beeemer.

What Focal comps did you have?

Focal makes some AMAZING speakers, and am thinking of replacing mine with a Focal setup.
