I am getting my MX1000 replaced due to something that is considered defective by Logitech. They are going to send me a brand new mouse, however, they want me to cut out the usb adapter from the receiver so that I can prove the I have the MX1000 myself.

Now, my question is that anybody sells just the receiver itself so that I can use the old one on my work laptop(the problem that the mouse has doesn't happen all the time, so I can still use the mouse)? Anybody has any recommendation?

Damn. They replaced a MX1000 and an MX510 without making me send either back. Your best bet would be eBay.
