Getting my helmet airbrushed, need opinions

I've been talking with a friend at work here whose offered to paint my motorcycle helmet in exchange for a little computer work. I've seen his painting on canvas and it's bloody amazing so I'm sure his 25 years of airbrushing experience should turn out really nice as well.
I'm just not sure what to put on my helmet, it's hard being creative when you don't really know what looks good. It's a pure black helmet, so once he scuffs it up he'll have a decent base to start on. I've come up with a couple ideas, but I'm not sure how difficult they'd be.
The first is some dark green lightning with that nice glowing effect. My bike is a dark forest green, but I'm not sure if green lightning would look stupid or not. I was also thinking of going with a more native theme, since I'm a half blood. Something like a nice feather head-dress with arrow heads on the side. Like this or this, just not quite as detailed. I dunno.

Do you guys have any ideas? This is tough when the options are limitless.

I'm probably gonna sell the bike this fall anyways, so I'm trying to not put too much effort into making it look better. 🙂
The helmet I'd gladly wear on my new one, a matching helmet is no big deal to me.
