Hello all, I am trying to get my phone to text me when I get emailed from a certain address. I use it to get notifications when prices drop in a ton of places, so I am talking something like 20 emails a day.
I would just check my email, but I only have 1GB of data. I want it to text me when I get an email from a certain email (like newegg) or just when I get an email, but it tells me the sender.
Sorry for long post, it's late.

How's your phone going to know to text you until it gets the email?
And what's the point of texting yourself?
I are

what service provider do you have? most carriers have a <phonenumber>@carrier.net email address that forwards to your phone as a text

you have 1GB data... email doesn't take that much data

The phone should alert you when you receive an email and you can see the sender, title, etc,. from the notification center. If you need more information than that you probably are better off just opening your email client.

I don't know what you do with the rest of your data, but if you get 100 kb emails (which is pretty large) you could get 10 million emails a month! How would email use up all your data, or even make a dent in it?

This should do the trick.

Looks good. I'll test it later.

It doesn't though. Stupid ios7. I'm sure there is a way, but I haven't found it yet.

Maybe that, I use verison. I browse forums and stream music, so I want as little extra as possible.
