Getting my comp headphones with mic to answer telephone?

Hey. I have a sidewinder voice and I'm wondering how I can get it to act like a telephone set. The line is connected to my computer for me to dial-up. Is there a way I can use my modem to pick up and stuff so I don't have to hold the damn phone? I'm lazy and I might as well use the sidewinder.
