Getting my 3540A soon, have a question

Ok guys, i just ordered my 3540A dvd burner today.

i currently just have my lite-on CD burner on an IDE cable set as the master (obviously).

When I recieve my player I plan on having the 3540A set to master and have the lite-on CD burner set on slave, on the same IDE cable.

Is this the correct way to go about this?

ya but make sure the jumpers are set correctly
