Getting low fps in DX11 across most games

Quad GTX 590, 2600k cpu, latest 301.42 driver from nvidia, 16gb ram

I am getting low fps when changing games to dx11 mode. Always running way over 60fps, but when dx11 is on all games drop to about 25 - 30.

Happens in most games ( Crysis 2, Max Payne 3, Arkham City, etc)


Any advice would be great, thanks!

Try the new beta 304.48.

And also aside from the new beta I'd also suggest to our friend to select custom installation with clean install option. This will reset everything driver related to default though.

Does the performance improve if you only use one card, or one GPU? If it does it could be a driver or configuration issue.

The problem occurs when both or just one card enabled
