Getting horrible pings with DSL...worse than my 56K modem

Can anyone help out here? I just got 604/128 DSL service and its fast as $hit for web pages but in games I never get pings below 200 whereas with my 56K modem and free ISP i routinely got pings < 150. What gives???
 
Are you pinging the same servers as before? That seems a bit odd...

Sometimes i do get high pings with my dsl but usually their 100 and below.
 
Yea, the If its the same servers that probably a key.

Your DSL provider might have a different backbone then your 56k ISP does. In which case, you need to search for new servers.

Don't put up with it... I had my ISP checking into my DSL problems for 2 Months, and I wasn't the only one.... They replaced a router somewhere, and all of my problems went away...

Its your ISP, let them deal with it...
