So I have a MSI X299 Gamer m7 and I decided to upgrade my Corsair H115I rad with some 2000 rpm Noctua PWM fans.
For the life of me I cannot get these fans to crank up past 1500 rpm. When I set them in the BIOS to run full speed it hits 1500 rpm and at default settings around 900 rpm.
Now they are both plugged into the wire running off the corsair pump for fans and the single wire that runs from pump plugs into the board's cpu fan header.
Do you think the pump is restricting the power and not allowing the fans to run full speed?
I have set the fans int he BIOS to manual as well and 100% load but it doesn't help. I have adjusted fan curve under smart but still nothing. I'm thinking I might have to hook the fans up to a standard fan header and maybe one case fan on CPU header but I had hoped to do this within the BIOS first.
Any ideas?
