Getting errors in MemTest

I've been getting system restarts whenever I play games and also randomly while browsing, sometimes even a BSOD pops up. I tried using MemTest and got an error almost immediately, and the system restarted after that. From Corsair's website, it says 1.8v for this RAM but that's the lowest my motherboard goes so it can't have been less (it's set to Auto). Any help on how much I can/should raise it, or any other advice? I haven't touched any settings in BIOS nor overclocked anything.

This is a new PC, here are the specs if they might be needed:
Asus P5E iX38
Q9450 2,66Ghz
TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX x2, a total of 8GB
Radeon HD3870 512 GDDR4
Corsair 620HX
Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit (fully updated)

Firstly you should set VDIMM manually to 1.8V.

Second what timings are you running? If i'm not mistaken they should be 5-5-5-18 ?

With 4 DIMMs it's possible that you would need to up the northbridge voltage. First though I would see if you can isolate which stick or sticks are causing the problem. If one in particular is bad that's an easy fix. If the errors only appear with all four sticks inserted, that's a different issue.

I was testing each stick individually and I was getting no errors but when I tried to start with two RAM sticks at the same time, the PC started acting weird. It turns on, the fans go on but then everything turns off again... and it just repeats doing that over and over until I cut off the power. And it does the same thing now with just one stick. Any idea of what's going on here? It's strange cause I was getting errors with two sticks before but when I tried both of them individually, I didn't get any errors. I don't know if the problem is with the motherboard, memory, GPU, or what else. I played some COD4 with one stick right before this, don't know if it could be the GPU messing up? Anyway, any ideas or advice would be appreciated. Btw, I haven't changed anything in BIOS.

Could a plug of some sort have popped out while I was inserting ram? It wouldn't be obvious to me because I'm not into building PC's.

Set your RAM timing manually, use Cpu-z (spd tab) to see what they should be. Try increasing your Northbridge voltage and/or vdimm.

Set vdimm to rated level.
Bump up NB voltage one notch.

Ensure correct ratio is being used. I.e., is that RAM even running at the correct speed?
Ensure timings are being set correctly, usually auto or SPD will work though.

Check all this in CPU-Z.

Post screenshots of CPU-Z here for us to check.

Oh, & please try each dimm separately in Memtest at least to determine if all the RAM is okay.
