Interesting. Sure he was out of town but couldn't he have waited to do it in person?

I could understand if he was dying or some other crazy situation and he wanted to marry her or tell her via a phone call. But via the internet is really impersonal...at least with a phone call you get to hear them and it is easy to hook up in most situations.
