Well here is my problem (there is another thread discribing the situation at http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=31&threadid=465541), I am running a voodoo3 3000 pci on linux mandrake 8.0 and I cannot seem to get dri to load for me. If I run glxinfo everything comes up fine except that it says "direct rendering: No", which means that dri is not loading (which would explain why UT won't run correctly). I have my XF86Config-4 file set to load dri and all of the other information is exactly the same as on the dri website. I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a log file for when x is starting to see what is causing dri not to load. Or if anyone has had this same problem could you let me know what you did to slove it. Thanks a bunch.
