Getting 'Delayed Write Failed' error on Win2k

Posted this in the OS group, but figured it could be a hardware issue, so I thought I'd post here too.

Hi,
Did a search and didn't find anything about this.
Just built a new system last night and I keep getting these 'delayed write failed' errors. Happens when browsing the Internet and when extracting Zip files.
On another forum someone suggested disabling the sharing of the HDD's would fix this. It seems to have helped, but has not cured the problem.
Any ideas?
Much appreciated.

System specs:
P4 1.8 GHz
512MB RDRAM
Intel 850MVL MOBO
Win 2k SP1 OS (also ran Win Update)
