Let's say I needed some .50 hollow-point, mercury cored, caseless rounds for a 'project'.

Where would I go about getting such things? You can't just get them off the shelf at your local mom-n-pop ammo store.

Not difficult. Discete? How so? I am sure it's as discrete as you buying boxers at K-Mart. I mean who cares? But if they did, I am sure they could figure it out.

Check out Custom Catridge in Goleta, CA. They supply to the public as well as law enforcement.

You've got to find someone rated to measure black powder. I packed a few bullets myself when my dad worked for Accurate Arms (TN). He actually measured and pressed his own bullets to test fire them. Under close supervision he acutally let me make a few and fire them :). Man that place was cool....shaped charges (for implosion destruction of buildings), testing black powder, a huge variety of firearms for testing, etc. I could have vacationed there (for at least a few days)!!

Edit: Then again my dad taught me firearm safety at a young age so I have always enjoyed guns. Just means I gotta find a fella that likes the firing range ;)

Do you realize that by trying to cover up the fact that you may be doing something bad you're just telling us that you are. No one would care if you just asked.

I think the project is called "killing someone and getting away from it until the post on ATOT gets notice by the police."

What the hell do you need 50. hollow-point, mercury cored caseless rounds. What are hollow-point, mercury cored caseless rounds anyway. Some kind of bullet for a blackpowder gun?

50cal mercury core? Jebus, you trying to take down a rabid polar bear or something?

And I've never heard of caseless? WTF? If it has no case what holds the powder?

Caseless rounds exist, however I am aware of no firearm that uses a .50 caseless round other than muzzleloaders.
