Getting corrupted Windoz installation when OC

Relion

Senior member
When I tried to OC (4 times now), my Windows installation gets corrupted. Am I doing something wrong:

CPU to 2400Mhz @ 1.500v
RAM to 191Mhz @ 2.7v , memory divider 333DDR
HTT set to 4x

my specs are below :*(

You are past the rigs limit of safe OCing. Other than that, your doing just fine🙂

Seriously, if this doesn't happen at stock speeds, your OC is the culprit. This isn't to say that you can't OC your setup, just that the settings that you are using are not working. Have you tried to raise voltages at all? If not, that is your next step. Also, you should list specs and attempted settings so that we can all check out what you are doing right and what you are doing that could use help.

Yep, it does not happen when stock speeds are applied. I read something about a bug for my mobo at 1T 🙁 ... what is funny is it does pass memtest86 tests.... I read somewhere overHTTing (new word !!!) could be causing the corruption but since im below those 1000Mhz i doubt so... can the PSU be a reason?

Voltages are raised for mem from 2.6 to 2.7 and core from 1.4 to 1.5 ... should I raise them more?

I used the isolate n consolidate guide...got 245 as max HTT and CPU ... mem cant go past 220 so I use the divider. Thanks for the help.

The Ram voltages WERE low for OCing. It looks fine at the moment for a LIGHT OC. You RAM can handle far more juice than you are giving it. Your RAM is normally good for 2.9 volts without any issues at all. You were waay too low as far as VDIMM to do any useful OC.

There is a 1T bug, but with motherboard BIOS 18 and newer it seems to be fixed. If you haven't already updated, you should.

Thanks...got this issue solved 🙂

It seem corruption was caused by HTT getting stuck at 5X...a workaround for this is save settings twice... Im running prime at home right now...

CPU is @2500Mhz @stock volts
Memory is running @208Mhz @2.5-3-3-8 @stock volts on a 5/6 divider ... I dont want to push it too much since it is value memory anyway... 😀

Thanks for the replies...are greatly appreciated...even if late 🙂

PD: Im running 1T 🙂
