I'm starting to look around for colleges to apply to, I have gotten some stuff in the mail, but it seems as if the information has come trickling in. Is there any sort of list that I can put my name on that will have colleges send me info?

You can get info off the University web site and make requests if you have specific schools in mind.

Most colleges have email addresses you can use to request info. I would just go to the department webpage of the major you're interested in and write them a lovely email.

When I took the PSAT I started to get mad stuff from collages. Most of it was from crap schools that I have never heard. What I have been doing is going onliine and signing up for some kind of thing that they send in the mail!

Same here. I suggest looking for a state college resource center website. In Indiana we have ICPAC which has a lot of information about career and colleges. There is a lot of information on just about any National College, so it should be a helpful site to check out.

Most people don't want spam. In your case you want it. All you have to do is sign up on their websites.

for those that live in NC or know NC schools I'm looking at Carolina, State or Appalacian as my top 3

wow, when I was in high school (specifically my junior and senior years) I got way too much college material, at least 2-3 packets a day!!! The way I got on the list was by checking that box on the SAT that makes your scores availible to colleges and by requesting information online.

Keep an eye out for college fairs at your school and at neighboring schools. Besides some free (cheap) loot, they'll usually be more than happy to have you fill out some "I'm interested, mail me some stuff" card and you'll get stuff mailed to you. And yeah, the PSAT is one big clearing house for colleges to grab your name and address if they like your score. ;)

I guess I'll just have to wait on the PSAT score results for my junior year, Im guessing it will probably around 1300-1400(when converted into the SAT equivelent) so I hope colleges will like it

go to the colleges' websites you are interested in and request an application. the app usually comes in a nice big bulletin/brochure with tons of information about the school...
