I foolishly bought a wool coat off ebay wihtout asking if the person was a smoker. I got a coat that smells like an ashtray of course. I took it to the dry cleaners and that took alot out of it but theres still some left. Whats a good way to get the rest of the smell of smoke out of it without damaging it since its wool?

i work at a drycleaning plant
after cleaning weve found Odoban (which you can get at Walmart, Sams...maybe some other places) does a very good job of removing smoke odors, among other things. Just spray it on the coat, and inside and let it air dry. Usually works pretty well.

I wear lots of wool in the winter and before the smoking ban in bars my clothes would reek of smoke after a night out. I used to toss them in the dryer with a Bounce sheet for a few minutes and let them hang outside for a while.
