I was reading this on another forum

This user claims to be able to take a wireless network card and pickup
a wifi signal ( OK we all know this is possible :) Now he also claims that
he can get cable TV signals through that same connection?? I just dont see
this as possible ( But I am not that educated in the wireless areas )

He claims that with the signals that go into the card itself, with no computer
he can receive cable channels?? I say impossible..

If the person that owns the wireless signal he is leeching from is using a computer on their network with an internal TV card to receive and somehow rebroadcast the cable channels to other computers on the network then I'd say that what they are describing is possible. They aren't getting the cable TV channels directly from the cable company over that wireless signal, though.

This reminds me of the news article where the people thought they were getting transmissions from the space shuttle on their baby monitor.

Yeah I kinna thought that post was bogus when I first seen it (LOL) I didnt think it was possible to do that. I dont know where people get information from.

He stated he had a external wireless network card, And separated the wires in the cable
( didnt say if it was USB or ethernet ) used 2 wires and stated he was getting cable TV...
said he had to figure out what 2 wires to use

Possible maybe but I doubt it.

Makes me wanna go out and get one just to tinker with it (LOL) to see if it actually is possible.

You aren't making sense. Why would you use wires to receive a TV signal on your wireless card?

Don't go spend money, this is nothing, it's garbage
