Getting beach pics developed

I was recently on a beach in Jamaica on holiday, and took a lot of pictures. My problem is, it was a topless beach, and here in the USA, breasts and especially nipples are considered by some to be the downfall of society (remember Janet Jackson?). As I have a few snaps of my wife topless, I'm worried that if I take the film to my local ShopRite to get developed, they will not develop all of them. Does anyone know of a place where I can mail them to be developed, so that I'll get them all back?

They will develop them. I'm not sure of the rules around your area, but here I believe they allow nudity, aslong as there is no touching. 😕

Now would be a great time to upgrade to a digital camera...dSLR are pretty much on par with 35mm SLRs and film only has to be bought once😉

To answer your question...have used York Photo in the past and now many websites offer free mailers for 35mm film.

i prefer my film, but thats because i like darkrooms, and not digital after-effects.
i might work with digital medium format sometime in the future, if i can afford to invest in it. since i want to work with landscape-type photography, i refuse to work with DSLR's. my film SLR will suit me fine for now. i want to build my own darkroom too.

That has absolutely no bearing on the OP who's obviously not developing his pictures himself in a darkroom.

they still make film cameras?

this didn't cross your mind as you were taking pics of your nekked wifey?

My wife likes real pictures as opposed to digital so she can put them in an album, she doesn't care for printouts of digital pics. As for "didn't it cross your mind", I personally don't have a problem with nudity, and the pics were taken without the thought that we were doing something wrong. Unfortunately, if the film developer is part of the seemingly majority of people in America who can't handle nudity, I don't know what they would do, possibly just not develop them and destroy the negatives or something.

Jesus, if you're that fvcking paranoid, ask the people at the film place, or buy a digital camera.

It's not paranoia (sp?), it's reality. I'm guessing you're not from America, where on regular TV you can watch a show where people are tortured, shot, run over, blown up, etc., but if there's a 2 second shot of a woman's nipple it has to be blurred out.

you do know you can get "real" pics made out of digital ones, right?

Yes, but I've never had them come out as good as film pictures, plus my wife wanted them for her album, so we went with film. I have a 5 megapixel camera that takes pretty good pics, but when I take them to CVS and use their machine to make prinouts, they don't come out real great. Same with printing them myself, they are good, but no comparison to 35mm film pictures.

They will develop them as long as there is no underage anything. I worked in the photo lab before. Got quite a few that people were on the beach topless and such. Don't worry.

Nope, nothing under age, no touching, just regular beach pics.

Have them developed at the 1-hour photo place in the mall. They stick the film in the machine, then the pictures start processing through in (normally) full view of anyone that wants to stand and watch the pictures scroll through the machine.

You just made it obvious that this is a trolling thread. As if the use of a film camera didn't make that obvious. Take this ****** to P&N and welcome to the current millennium.

Isn't taking pictures at a topless beach frowned upon? 😕
