Getting back to only the Administrator account in XP media center

A helpful kid created his own user account on an XP media center edition computer (which XP OS version doesn't matter really). Anyways... In the past I've run into that once an account is created, in any sort of XP, that you cannot delete that user account when it is the last or only one left, and get back to only having the Administrator account. I've booted from a CD and deleted the extra profile under Documents and Settings, and then on the next boot had Windows recreate the account again.

Where is Windows getting it's instructions to create/recreate that user account/profile and how do I prevent it from doing so?

I've considered booting from a CD and removing that user account from the registry, but is there something that would create it again?

Thanks

Aaaaargh...I wasn't thinking like an Admin🙂

I just went into the Computer Management MMC console and deleted the account from the local user and groups. Now it boots directly into the Administrator account, just like they wanted.

Whether that's a good thing over all is another topic, but it's what they want.

yeah I've got my MCE box set to autologin with a special low privilaged account and log in as admin sparingly...

95% of what you'd need to do in MCE you dont need admin privilages for.
