Getting back Counterstrike sound

is there any way to resume the sound from cs when it cuts out when you ALT+TAB or unfocus the window? on my bro's system he always has AIM on, and when he gets pulled out just ALT+TABs back to cs. he hits ESC and clicks Resume, then the sound is back on. there's got to be something you can do, anyone know a cmd line or way you can get it back? i'd love to be able to alt+tab and not lose my score 😉

just turn aim and icq off when you're playing...
other than that, all i know is to restart
i know lots of computers (including mine) where the 'esc - resume game' approach doesn't work

I can't even Alt-tab out of it 🙁
if I do the screen goes blank and I have to hard reset it, which is kind of a bitch on my SX1030

there's got to be a way, my bro's sys can't be a fluke... the goal isn't to keep counterstrike from getting interuppted, if i wanted that i could shut off AIM. the prob is i WANT it to be able to be interrupted, i want to be able to alt+tab out and back in without having to reconnect to the server. hrmm.. if anyone out there has a clue, now would be the time. 🙂

Download GameSpy 3D
You can look up the WON master server list and join games from it. You can ALT-TAB safely (for up to abotu 30 secs) when you start a game through GameSpy

Only way for me is to use the &quot;Esc&quot; then Alt-Tab to your windows desktop. Then Alt-tab back into CS and &quot;resume game&quot;. 😀

I found what Junthin said works good 🙂 I'm glad pressing esc doesn't disconnect from the server, else this trick wouldn't work.. but simply hit esc and when the server list screen comes up, alt+tab to your heart's content 😀
