So I had this auction on ebay for a large hard drive. This idiot wins the auction, after winning the auction, he wants to negotiate the s/h, $20 ( iknow it's a little much, but it also covers my paypal)...I have it in the terms and agreement that bidder agrees to shipping of $20 so there won't be any confusion. I'm already selling the HD at a loss so there's no way I'm gonna cut this guy a deal on shipping. He fights it, I even offered to not sell it to him. He calls me all kinds of greedy names and stuff, but I figure that you deal with a##holes once in a while and stood firm. He finally gave in and paid up. I shipped it next morning and he got it in 2 days. Guess what? He leaves negative feedback! I stupidly already left feedback (I leave 20 at a time) so I forgot about him and left him positive feedback a couple of days earlier. How can I get back at this stupid A#hole, it's my first negative in over 300 sales....Thanks in advance for your inputs.

It's against PayPal rules, and I believe it might be illegal, to charge for the fees incurred by accepting credit card orders.

I am so flaming pissed about the negative feedback and just want revenge. The perfect revenge would be to kill his feedback, he has about 100 or so with a couple of negatives...Please input your ideas.

I allocate it towards the (Handling) portion of my S/H...so technically it's not paypal...I don't come out and state it as paypal, it just says "Bidder agrees to S/H of $20"

But if he stated the fee upfront, before the method of payment was established, he wouldn't have broken any rules. I believe it only applies to "Since you are paying with Paypal, you need to pay extra"

He said "Paid $20 for $10 shipping, this guy's a ripoff"

in the feedback he put for me.

that doesn't sound like grounds for a negative, since it was stated right off on the main page right? and the deal went "smoothly", all you can do is just comment on it.....don't do anything
i know he's an arse, but don't make ebay worse than it is already, with the negs.......all this retaliation and acting like litte kids, yeah what he did was probably bad, but don't go down to his level

I'm sorry but I don't feel comfortable divulging my ebay ID...If this guy had blackmailed me to refund him the entire shipping cost to avoid this negative feedback, i would've...Out of principle, this was such a devastating negative, i no longer can pride myself in having a perfect feedback and being able to deal with the good and the bad.

The shipping terms and conditions were posted in bold in the auction. I know that I should let this go, but it so frustrating. Its like someone's pitching a perfect game, and you have this idiot streak across the field and messed it up. It's still an error/ruining the perfect game. That streaker would be held accountable and go to prison...i want to make this guy accountable.

I seriously do not think 1 negative feedback will damage your reputation forever. Many people on eBay (including me) only cares about all the positives that you have rather than nitpicking the negatives. It's like buying a new car, you cant expect the car to be perfect w/o scratch or dent forever. It's bound to cross uncontrollable things like this. Get over it.

I feel your pain, but with 300 positives I don't think you have anything to worry about. Hopefully, people will take their time to read the rest of your feedback, not just one negative.

Be sure to post a reply in your feedback page <<and be very polite and respectful because this is your feedback

"I am sorry you had a problem.. The shipping price is clearly stated in the auction" ??? Something like that..

Honestly, it's not even about my perfect feedback, or the one negative...it's about this way this IDIOT went about it that is making me so mad. I just want to return the favor somehow someway to this complete lack of decency moron.

I often have to sell things at a loss in FS/FT or any forums, due to fact people dont like to pay shipping. I spend sometimes $5 on packaging materials to ensure that their stuff arrives safely, and they ask me for cheaper shipping.

You set the price, thats what it will be. If its $20, then $10 shipping and $10 packaging and handling.

Just like what Brittney saif here ;)
<-----me waves to David

I always include shipping charges in the total price of the item, makes it easier for me and for the buyer knowing the bottom line ahead.

People like you on ebay make me sick. 20 fvcking dollars for S/H for a hd??? Were do you live...Mars or something?

( iknow it's a little much, but it also covers my paypal)...

And that is against the rules.

But he is the idiot who bid on it, so he agrees to pay the 20.00 shipping charge.

Let it go. You openly admit that your shipping is high to cover paypal fees, which is aginst their tos. You got a neg feedback, whopee, it happens.
