Does any one know how to allow BOINC to connect to the various sites fron behind the corporate site snoopers? If I want to connect to a site like BOINCStats (brilliant site), a site sensor page intercepts me, but I can still continue - some sites are obviously blocked completely, like this forum, the but P sites etc. all understandable. But I obviously cannot get to click the continue button when Boinc tries to connect. Any ideas how to solve this?

As with any DC project, make sure you've got permission from your superiors to be running it at all when at work. If you do, then having or getting the necessary access shouldn't be a problem. Don't be risking your job/career over a DC project.

In my case, my boss has allowed me to run Boinc only on my specific workstations at my desk(and I only have 2 machines). I'm not allowed to install it on any other PCs, lab computers, servers, etc. whether they're production or not. That's just the way it is.

edited for spelling and a missing number[/b]

Easy answer ask the admin to add the boinc addresses to the "allowed" file. If you are trying to do this without permission, then you are asking us to break the rules as well as put yourself in a position to be sued by the company.

Best practice is to just ask, if they allow it great but if not, there isn't much you can do.
