getting an SLI-DR to recognize a RAID array

I just built a new computer using the DFI SLI-DR moboard and want to have it recognize a PATA RAID-0 array from another system. How do I get it to do this? I told it to enable primary master and secondary master for RAID in the BIOS, but when I go into the setup for the RAID chipset, it only gives me the option to create a new array. Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered.

usually, RAID cannot be moved across controller that are not of the same brand. So, if you have an array created on a Promise controller and plan to use it on the nvidia, then it wont work.

drats, i suspected as much... looks like i am going to have to throw the old rig back together in order to get at my data T_T)

thanks for confirming my suspicions
