so, if one really wants a job as an expatriate in an asia, what kind of qualifications does he/she need and what would be the best company to work for. obviously knowledge of the culture and language proficiency are required, but what other types of qualities to expats have? furthermore, what company is known to employ a lot of them?
i'll be graduating here after a while and i really want a job that will allow me to travel and live abroad. preferably places like thailand and southeast asia, but anywhere would be cool. i should be somewhat fluent in japanese by then and i've got a lot of exp. under my belt in the IT industry, as well as some ties high up with some microsoft and gartner people. i'm planning on picking up korean and thai before i'm done too. so, i feel i'm good at what i do (IT shit and business shit), culturally versed, proficient in other languages (able to learn more), and desirable, so who should i be talking to? i suppose i could always teach english in these countries, but I'd rather be making cash to blow on the local economy rather than living like a sewer rat :/
