Getting a Xbox 360...advice for good older cheaper games?

Well, by birthday is the 29th and for a present a friend is giving me his old 360 (well, its a Jasper, but he got one of the "S" models).

Now, besides some of the newer obvious games (Halo Reach, Red Dead Redemption, etc) what are some GOOD older (e.g. cheaper) games that I should check out that NEVER made it to PC?

I am a PC gamer, so for console ports I get those on PC...but what console exclusives should I look into getting?

Like to keep average game price around $10-20 if possible.

Im thinking some I should get from the get go are:

Halo 3
Forza 3
And...???

Thanks!

Hmm...played Crackdown and beat it when I had a roommate that had a 360...damn good game! Crackdown 2 any good?

Fable 2 yes...played Fable and loved it!

Another vote for Crackdown -- I just finished it myself a couple of weeks ago, great game. Too bad the sequel is supposed to be meh.

Edit: > "played Crackdown and beat it when I had a roommate that had a 360." -- oh well.

If you want to play a high-def JRPG, Lost Odyssey is a decent choice that you might find for around $20 if you hunt for a deal (a couple of Amazon sellers have sealed copies for $21, but +$3 shipping.)

My b-day is the 29th too! HURRAH!

Do you care about sports games at all? Last years sports games are still good, but are already cheap. Madden 10, NHL 2010, etc...

So Ive gotten my list down to this:

Halo 3 (played most of it, never beat it)
Halo 3 ODST
Ninja Gaiden 2
Forza 3
Deadly Premonition
DBZ Burst Limit (in love with the PS2 Budokai 3)
Ace Combat 6

Any others I should put on there?

Most of the others mention are either on PC (which I asked specifically not to be listed as Ive played them) or are already on my list.

Skip Ninja Gaiden 2, it's awful. One of the few games that I would call "cheap" rather than difficult. Ninja Gaiden Black was hard, very hard, but I never felt like the game was being cheap.

Definitely get Bayonetta, although maybe just as a rental. It's absolutely fantastic, especially if you like beat-em-up type games, but you can beat it in a few hours.

If you're into JRPG's I liked Tales of Vesperia a good bit (and it's on sale at Amazon today).

As a PC gamer if you missed the Mass Effect games then definitely give them a whirl.

Gear of War is great, Gears 2 was alright although the multiplayer was so buggy I sold it shortly after I bought the game. So much potential, such a letdown.

And definitely get Shadow Complex on XBLA. You might also nab Braid while you're at it.
