Getting a watch for my brother for Christmas who is enlisting in the Air Force...

Are there any regulations prohibiting certain styles of watch?

I'm looking at a couple chronographs. One with a black face, steel case, and leather strap.
The other has a steel case and strap with a black face. The last one is all gunmetal gray colored.

For the life of me, I can't remember what my dad wore during his 23 year career.

I was selling GPS units while the US was building up its forces in the middle east and I sold two units to guys who were shipping out and got inquiring emails from quite a few others. He might be interested in handheld GPS unit?

I wore a Casio G-shock watch my entire 10 years in the Air Force. Great watch for all conditions. It survived the hot wet jungles of Panama and the hot dry conditions in the middle east. Very durable and its black so it is tactical for the BDU's

He|| yeah G-Shock! I wore one for ten years in the Teams and when it finally fell apart I went looking for a replacement. After looking at twenty'ish different watches I said "Screw it" and bought another G-Shock.

i used to have a casio digital watch that had a digital compass and a altimeter and a barometer and bunch of other things. i dunno the model name but when i get home i can post a pic of how it looks. it only costs ~150 and that might be a good gift to give to a soldier

I could be wrong but I think rated personel get issued the G-Force watch. Needless to say, awesome watch to get.
