Getting a video card.

For that price, your best bet is a 7950GT, 7900GT, 7900GS, or X1950Pro. They're all powerful cards, with the 7900GS being the least powerful and cheapest of the bunch. Given your situation, I suggest either a 7900GS or X1950Pro for the bang per buck. The 7900GS leans more towards cost, while they X1950Pro leans towards performance.

Diamond X1950Pro - $179.99 after MIR
PowerColor X1950Pro - $219.99 (I highly suggest this one if you can spend the extra $20)
eVGA 7900GS - $159.99 after MIR
XFX 7900GT - $199.99 after MIR
eVGA 7900GT - $215.99 after MIR
Foxconn 7950GT - $229.99 after MIR (More than you wanted to spend, but well worth it; not a brand I've used, but cheapest)

Cool. The Foxconn 7950GT looks really nice, but it's a tad expensive.
I have heard that EQ2 has had some trouble running on ATI cards, so I'm a bit suspicious of getting one, being an EQ2 player and all.

ok... I am going to scrounge up some cash and shoot for the Foxconn GeForce 7950GT.
