Or at least shed some light on my situation?
A week or so ago, I put together a new box:
Athlon T-bird @ 1.33GHz
Epox 8k7a mobo
512MB RAM
GeForce MX graphics card
SBLive
Now, I loaded up Madden 2k1 today, and almost immediately, I started getting crashed wear the game slow down to a standstill, forcing a reset button reboot. Twice, I got a message saying something along the lines of "WARNING, system overclock fail. Check Frequency/voltage control." Now, I'm not overclocking, mind you. Now, I wound up with a subpar heatsink (the HS I ordered from Newegg showed up with a defective clip, I went with a generic from a local vendor), and while it's definitely running hotter than I like (mid-50 degrees C), but not so much that I'd expect severe problems. Any advice on what I should be looking at would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time.
