One of my friends has one of those Black Dell computer cases, in which the motherboard went bad 2 weeks out of warranty. I looked at the pinout on hte motherboard, and it is different from anythign I have seen before. The front panel connections are also different too. I know in order to do this, I would have to "make" some type of adaptor, as well as put in a different power supply

Does anyone know of a way to get a standard ATX motherboard to work in this case?

Replace the PS and mobo and hook it up! Rewiring the front panel connector, power switch etc., is easy and can't really do much harm there if you get it wrong. I replaced the mobo in a Compaq and had to switch the front panel wires. Get a small screwdriver and you can push in the locking tab on the connectors on the ends of the wires and they will slide out of the housing, bend the locking tab back, and reinsert where it should go.

So the power supply in the Dell is not a standard pinout? If not, you could maybe rewire that.

You could just drill new holes in the existing motherboard plate and put motherboard mounts in where they should go.
