Getting a Prescott 3.6ghz L775 cpu soon...

I haven't been following the new motherboards lately, so I figured I get people's opinions here. The details:
  • I'm planning on getting a high end video card (i.e. 6800GT or X800 PRO), which may influence my decision since they aren't offered in PCI-E yet.
  • I'd prefer a i915/i925 chipset, but I'm not against i865.
  • DDR-2 is still too pricey, so I don't see myself using that.
  • Quality/reliability is my most important priority.
TIA!

if your set on a 3.6 prescot you might want to wait till september as there is some though that the an updated chip with 64bit support will be available by then (though it may use a slightly different socket so wont be compatable with any boards out now)

As far as I know, it will be exactly same socket as Socket 775 Prescott. Just problem is that 925X is the only chipset supports it *officially*. (Maybe mobo manufactures may be able to mod chipset, or something, who knows)

It being Wingz, there is a very good chance this is a ES chip. Even if it isn't, I doubt he pays what we do at any rate :)

Abit makes an 865 board that takes socket 775. It's cheaper than some of the 915 boards.
