Getting a notebook

Hey,

I am looking into getting a notebook, I have roughly $1000.00 to spend, basically I am looking to get something
that will run mainly business software like Excel, but also able to go online and play Starcraft

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should look or what I should get? Is there any reputable places
to get used Notebooks from?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Any laptop that costs you $1000 should play Starcraft(it's just a 2d game, doesn't need exceptional video let alone fancy 3d video) just fine.

Do your eyes (and for future resell value) a favour and make sure it at least has a TFT/Active Matrix screen.Also some of the less expensive ones are still coming with NiMH batteries when you should demand LiIon.
