I'm planning on getting a new laptop over the next month or so. I'm looking for one of those slimmer (less than an inch thick) ones, but at the same time one with at least a 12.1" display. Oh and if possible a internal wirelass LAN card... kind of a tall order i guess...

But as of now I'm considering the Dell X200, Toshiba Portege 2000, or the Gateway 200. which one should I get? or does anyone of any other suggestions?

If money is no problem then get the IBM X30, the best "mini" laptop period. Standard battery life is 5 hours, optional 8 hours with second battery. I think the thickness is just under an inch.

You can also look at the X20,x21,x22,x23 on E-Bay if you don't mind a used laptop(and MUCH MUCH cheaper)

If you value quality more than anything else, IBM is what you want.

Normally I would recommend the IBM ThinkPad X series from IBM's eBay store but since they're currently not in stock. I'll recommend the R series starting at $799.

Got one here at $729 buy it now, and it includes WinXP Pro. Nice deal.

Can you guys believe RossMAN almost let $70 slip through his vision? ;)

Without seeing them side by side, do you guys think you could tell the difference bettween a 13.3 scren and a 14.1?
