I am going to purchase a new case for my rig--- a blue X-Dreamer http://www.svc.com/350waxmiatxc1.html for 68 w/ 350w power supply!

I wanna put some lights in it to make it look nice, round ide and floppy cables, and a few more case fans.....here is my ?-

i see that most of the lights offered are cold cathode so thats wut im going to get....now--- can i get a blue light AND a black light? will they interfere with each other? will my uv-reactive fans and cables still glow even thou there is the blue light in there as well? b/c i want it to be bright but i also want it to glow...where should i mount these after i get them.....is it hard to plug them in? where do they plug into? will they draw too much power (also have 2 HDD, and 2 CD-Drives)....also....there are no diff. options for intake or exchaust fans--- but doesnt it make sense that u would need different type of fans to mount on the front of ur case than the back? i dunno wutever i guess these r just some n00b questions---- also on ebay this guys sells all kinds of uv stuff--- including volcano 9 fans modded to have tri color led lights on em - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3418927484&category=3673...i tihnk im gunna pick 1 of these up too.... for amd athlno 1800+ then maybe ill OC it alittle...cause rite now in my shtty case its runnin a little hot...whydya think i can oc it to? rite now its 1.53 ghz maybe i can get another hunderd mhz or sompin i dunno well see

I tried to keep these in order:

  1. They won't interfere with each other.
  2. It depends on position, but likely it will glow weaker than if you just had a blacklight.
  3. Usually they're mounted in top and bottom corners (but you can put them wherever they fit), not hard to plug in.
  4. They plug into a transformer that will come with them; make sure to get one that you can plug 2 lights into.
  5. If you have a decent PSU, power shouldn't be an issue.
  6. If you want a different direction of airflow from a fan, all you have to do is flip it around... (I'm hoping you were joking with that one.)

eBay is a good place to look, you may also want to try SVC, Newegg, and Colorcases.

The blue light will almost completely drown out the UV
The UV reactive items will have to be very close to the UV to react like you would expect.
I'd go with one or the other.

Metku.net has some good UV articles/mods. You might want to check this one out. Look around their site, they have a couple more. With UV you should be able to see the mobo alright, so I would probably go with 2 UV cold cathodes.
