the second half of that is indicating they’ll be seeking identification as well.

this “at first” nonsense is the wink and nod

huge violation of privacy, and no doubt R’s are totes cool with it cuz feels

This. All of this.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't think of any legitimate reason why the AG would need the DL/ID numbers of the people who had changed their gender on their drivers licenses.

Hmm. Where have we seen this before?

Is that for real? Like have you vetted the source of that? Because I was always under the impression that being gay (lgbt) was always something that was unspoken and it’s hard to imagine Germany being progressive at all at that time.

first I really heard of it, it seems the movement had been gaining some traction in that time period, with their anti LGBT bill paragraph 175 being voted out just before the Nazi movement gained power, and instead the nazis said fuck that and persecuted the shit out of them.

Germany as a whole probably wasn't. But Berlin is another story.

Just let Star Trek's fictional "history" of the 21st century be your (as of now) imaginary guide.

You mean like we can expect this kind of stuff?

There was at one point. And there were people really flooding the shit out of it with fake reports. So much that they started to lock down submissions. Mission accomplished.
