So I will be getting a 866 PIII CuMine soon, and I was wondering what I should do with it. Should I go the RDRAM route or PC133 RAM route? Any recommendations on a motherboard?

I have been using an ASUS CUSL2 for a long time, and I must recommend it.
It's easy to overclock, and uses a helluh-stable Intel i815E chipset. You can add up to 5 USB ports, for a total of 7.
It has 3 SDRAM DIMM slots, and can hold up to 512 MB of PC133.

No, I do not work for ASUS, nor am I paid to promote their stuff. I just like the board.

BTW, how did you get a free CuMine?

My brother works for Intel. So they have some kind of loaner program or something? I mean, I'm sure it really doesn't bother Intel to give away 866 Coppermine's away right now to their employees.
Yeah, I was looking at the CUSL2. I was wondering if I could/should go the RDRAM route, if it was at all possible, since the prices for RDRAM are nearing SDRAM prices. I'm wondering if the performance payout would be worth it or not. It's a bit difficult doing research on it right now, since the chip itself is like half a year to a year old by now?
(Isn't it scary that they've got stuff out there nearly double the clock speed by now. Oh yeah... Moore's Law.)

Go with the SDRAM route. RDRAM is used for high bandwidth applications and processors. The architechture of the P3 just doesn't benefit enough from the high bandwidth that RDRAM provides. I also have the CUSL2. Great board, go for it. RDRAM is still kinda expensive and there aren't any good RDRAM boards for the P3. Just my 2 cents :)

All right. Great. That answers my question. Much thanks.
And NO, I'm not going to be sending you that P3. :)
