What do you guys think, after reading some of the forum posts i decieded on the 3200+ not the 3500+, in the future (a year or two) I want to go SLI so I went for the 500W power supply, is that enough. I got the cheapest memory they had, even the cheapest corsair memory was like 180 so i went for the cheapest stuff i could get. Thanks for any help/suggestion, also if you give me any suggestion please say stuff that i can get from monarch as I feel like just getting it all done with them. Thanks a lot.

go for the dfi nofrce4 mb. costs a little bit more, but you'll thank yourself for it. use stock heatsink/fan to recoup the costs. it'll cool effectively to the max you could possibly hope to oc it. no need for aftermarket cooler(the stock retail cooler is VERY good). you dont really need 2 optical drives.

edit: oh yeah, get a seagate drive. might cost a few bucks more but seagate is the leader of the pack in quality, quietness and reliability.

Is there anything else that anyone would suggest, or if you think it should all be good please say so to make me feel good 🙂

Get the Retail 3200+, Warranty is important.
With top of the line, I'd suggest a Raptor, just for better overall performance.
As for PSU, you might consider something like OCZ powerstream/modstream.
Forget about the DVDRW, get the popular NEC seperately from Newegg.

I'd reconsider. A faster HD speeds up everything you do. You can always get more storage. But remember the slowest part of just about every computer is the Hardrive. SCSI is awesome but Raptors are much cheaper and easier to setup.

I don't know about DFI. And I don't know about Monarch anymore. Their "pre-tested" system turns out not to be so pre-tested since it failed on me.

Get the retail 3200+ and save the money on the heat sink. I'm not going to say anything about your case/powersupply... 🙂.

I personally wouldn't trust Monarch to build anything, but that's me. And I don't understand why Monarch refuses to sell Corsair value RAM for their combos/systems. It's the best RAM deal going.
Realize that if you don't pay for the thermal paste they won't put anything on the new HSF. If you do pay for it, you don't get the extra. So make sure you order some thermal paste by its self in case you ever need to remove/replace the HSF.
As for the PSU, I think you can get better for that much money. I don't know which exact PSU's you can choose for Monarch systems, but be sure to get one that is ATX 2.0.

the stock hs/f comes with a thermal pad that is very effective. no need to pay. as for thayt psu, the antec truepower is a good power supply. my friend has a 680w sli truepower and it works real well.

go retail, it only costs a few bucks more, comes with a hs/f already and has a warranty.

Both Ike and myself run simular athlon rigs with Antecs at <= 400 watts. I was running on a 250watt Antec on my system while I was waiting on my 400watt. What's the deal with people getting 500+ watt powersupplies? Oh well have fun 🙂.

sli ultras 😀

lol morph 🙂. I'd put money that my Antec could handle SLI (actually I did, $60).

Sides he isn't using SLI according to his setup... someone should give him a link to a x800xl 🙂.

I only posted about the thermal paste because he has a Thermaltake A1744 listed for the HSF. Monarch will actually install this with no TIM if you don't pay for it.

so do you guys think the antec true 550 can handle a 2 6800 gt 2 hd and 2 opticals? I figure if i get a powersupply now that can handle anything i can throw at it its better than having to get a better one when i want to go sli.
