Getting a cheap tablet

First off the bat, I'm not a graphics designer. I don't need anything very "accurate", expensive or fancy. I'm more looking for something I can use to draw little sketches in PS Elements and little pictures I can put into PowerPoint for presentations and stuff. A tablet without the need for special software or an expensive digitizer pen would be nice. Of course Windows Vista support would be a plus 🙂

Yup, I've owned Graphires and Intuos tablets. Wacom is the only one worth going with imo. They're amazing. Not much to say about them...they let you use a pressure-sensitive pen to draw or write. The Intuos models are more accurate, but the Graphics are more than fine for what you want to do. The Bamboo looks like a nifty version of the Graphire (512 levels of pressure). Should be great! 🙂
 
As long as it is a Wacom you'll be ok. I use mine daily (have an Intuos 3 9x12) for work and personal. If you aren't concerned with it being super accurate and having lots of degrees of use then their Graphire series is fine. Never dealt with the Bamboo one, but I am guessing it is for the average joe that wants to mess around.

Sorry can't give to much help, I can't work without my Intuos 3 and 6D art pen
