Getting a card for my little brother

Hey guys im getting a card for my little brother and i cant break the $150 mark

how does a regular ati 9800 (128mb/128bit) compare to a 9600xt???

and are there anybetter solutions in the price range?

Hes upgrading from a geforce 3 ti200 so hopefully he'll notice the diff

ahh if i were you id probably by off Ebay but... as its a present ( or sounds as such), then i would get the 9800 128bit. it's 8pipelines make it a more powerful card than the 9600, and the 128bit dysfunction only really matters when using AA/AF...

i've seen CS: S benchmarks for the 128bit 9800, and they are promising.

i suggest you get the 9800 if you hadnt guessed already
