Well I'm not sure if I'll have any luck getting this thing to work the way I want it but after an exhaustive google search I figured I might as well post here. I have the above stated drive in my Windows 2000 Server machine. Windows sees the drive and will read whatever is loaded in tray number 1 or if I push the button on the corresponding tray it will read whatever disc is in that tray. What I want to do is have Windows map 5 drives (1 for each tray) and automatically switch between the trays when I select them in the file explorer. This was possible in NT 4 with the software the drive came with but I'm not so sure that it can be done in Windows 2000. I was tempted to use the same software on a Windows 2000 install but I doubt it would work with the major changes of the HAL between the two. Any ideas?

Dan, of DansData, wrote a piece about CD changers http://www.dansdata.com/changer.htm . He referrs to the problem, and some sort of manual mount/unmount possibilities. I don't know much more about it than that; but he might. He's a cool guy(and funny to boot). You could do worse than send him a nice email on the subject.
