gettin xbox for the 1st time, recommend some games

I got like 225$ to spend at amazon.com and maybe ill waste another 50$ of my own, I need to get a system, and someone recommend some cheaper games. Im thinking of gettin a live started kit as well.

Most xbox games blow (flame on) compared to PS2. That being said I have an xbox and love it so go figure. The real fun is in modding your xbox. Check out http://www.xbox-scene.com/ for all the info you'll need.

I love all the sports games like madden and ea baseball 2004. They are the same on all systems.

i actually think the xbox exclusives are better, and that most if not all of games that are made on both systems are better on xbox

Armed and Dangerous IMHO was a terrible game and I didn't like KOTOR's style of play.

my fav games are Halo, TW2k4, Splinter Cell, and ESPN Hockey 2k4. Hockeys fun if ya have live and SC is nice to have with live also for the additional lvls. In Nov you can sure as hell bet halo2 will be on the list. I'd be sure to mod it for XBMC which is easily the best home brewed app.

Lol so true... Fable doesn't count since it isn't out yet

I would get Halo(only if you can get friends to play multi), SSX 3, and Top Spin. Don't get PGR2 unless you don't have a PS2 because PGR2 sucks compared to GT3 and GT4 Prologue.

Honestly I love my xbox not for the games, but because its modded which allows me to use emulators and watch tv shows that I missed... on my tv.
