Gonna get rid of my main 120gb hard drive & get a Raptor (no raid). Can I back up the shortcuts on my desktop & my "inbox" from Outlook Express?
Also, am I gonna have to do the "F6" thing when I re-install windows? I've not had a serial ata drive before. I guess I can have one serial & one ide, yes?
Thanks for any help.

You can either get a prog like Ghost or TrueImage to make an image of your windows drive or take a dvd or cd burner and start throwing your files on it. And yes you can have one sata and one eide, it worked for me. If you have any more questions after you get it installed post 'em, I think I've been through it all.

Why reinstall? Why not just ghost from the old drive to the new drive?

Ok...to prevent me from having to read the manual, is there an easy way to do this? I don't remember what I did or didn't do last time, but I know I don't want the end results that I got last time.

Might not be able to access the SATA drive from your DOS boot disk and Ghost.

What happened with Ghost ? Damn dude, I've been using that for years and NEVER had anything bad go wrong ...

unless you confused your source drive and your target drive ..... ???

You'll just ghost from the old drive to the new. If you have a specific question let us know.
